What is a Landing Page?

In digital marketing, a landing page is a standalone web page where a vistor "lands" after they click on a link in an email, or ads from Google, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or similar places on the web.

As opposed to web pages, which encourage exploration, landing pages are customized for a specific campaign, and are designed with a single focus or goal, guiding vistors to a singe call to action (CTA).

In short, landing pages are designed for conversion, and lowering your cost of acquiring a lead or sale.

What is a Shopify Landing Page?

The ultimate goal of the Shopify landing page is to urge users to perform a specific conversion action, like filling out a form, making a purchase, or signing up for a service, right on the landing pages.

These are specifically designed for products or services that you want to highlight or promote in your marketing campaigns. In simple terms, it converts visitors into leads or buyers.

How is it different from other landing pages?

The homepage on your Shopify store can be used for many purposes, such as the introduction of your brand, product, etc, while landing pages are used with a single focus - to drive up conversion rates of your online store, even though they are interchangeable most of the time.
