Drip Campaigns are an automated set of marketing and behavioral emails that are triggered on a periodic schedule or specific user actions. The primary objective of an effective email marketing strategy is to deliver the right information to your subscribers in a timely manner so they commit to your call to action.
A welcome email can be set to trigger as soon as someone signs up to your mailing list, leading to another email on the next day, followed by another in a sequence. Emails may also vary depending on the triggers and various user actions.
Mailmunch offers the ability to create lead nurturing Drip Campaigns to help you achieve continuous growth, segmenting your audience into action based groups, boosting engagement and loyalty, connecting with disengaged customers and prospects, spreading brand awareness while promoting content.
Drip Campaign can be created by following the few simple steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Navigate to your Mailmunch menu bar items on the homepage, and select Campaigns. Click on the CREATE NEW CAMPAIGN button present in the top right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Click on Drip Sequence from the different campaign types displayed.
Step 3: Enter a name for the Drip Campaign and select a list to connect with the drip campaign. Click on the CONFIRM button to proceed. The list selected here will be assigned to all the campaigns created in this sequence.
Step 4: Browse through a variety of eye-catching templates. Hover over the template of your liking, and click on the USE TEMPLATE button in order to select it.
Step 5: Design your email by making use of the different tools offered by Mailmunch to make your email stand out from the crowd. Customize the template to your liking.
Step 6: Once you have designed the content, proceed to the Subject step, set the Subject for your email in the Subject tab. Make use of Personalize merge tags to make your emails personalized for each recipient such as adding the Last Name of the recipient to the Subject of the email.
Add the Preheader Text, this is a short summary text displayed to your subscribers next to the Subject line in the inbox when viewing an email.
Fill in the Sender Information, use your name or company's name as the Sender Name. In the tab next to the sender name, you will be shown the verified email addresses you have for this domain. If you do not have one, please type in an email address and press enter. Once the email address has been verified through the verification email sent to your inbox, you will be able to select the email address from the drop-down list.
Step 7: Proceed to the Schedule step to set up a time for your email to be sent. Select Send your email immediately after the user subscribes, or Send your email at a specific time, then enter a specified time in the textbox. Click on the drop-down menu, and select an option from Minutes, Hours, or Days.
Step 8: Click on the Review step to preview the final outlay of the email. Click on the SEND button to send a Test Email to your inbox set as the sender's email address in Subject settings.
Step 9: Click on the ACTIVATE button on the top right corner of your screen to activate the email in your drip campaign. Click on the START DRIP button to confirm. You can also click on the SAVE DRAFT button to save the campaign as a draft.
Step 10: Click on the ADD EMAIL button present in the top right corner of your screen to create a subsequent email which will be triggered at a later date. Repeat the process and create the drip campaign. Emails created for your Drip campaign will be listed in your Drip campaign dashboard in ascending order based on the trigger date OR time.
Step 11: Click on the Edit link present in the left timeline of your screen. You can change your email schedule from your dashboard settings as well. Click on the CONFIRM button to save the changes made.
Step 12: Click on the SETTINGS, and switch the Activate this campaign toggle to blue. Click on the CONFIRM button to activate this drip sequence.
That's it! You have now been successful in creating your Drip Campaign.
