Introducing Shopify Online Store 2.0

Shopify Online Store 2.0 is an updated set of features that made setting up an online store so much more seamless. It aims to offer feature improvements that make themes, and theme apps easier to build. It also provides greater flexiblity, making store design even easier.

Mailmunch Shopify Store Pages

Mailmunch allows you to create beautiful pages to easily add content to your Shopify store pages. It is also compatible with the Online Store 2.0 themes for all of it's Shopify store pages.

Using the Improved Theme Editor

With the Online Store 2.0, your Shopify store will become modular and customizable. Follow the few simple steps to easily add, and rearrange your webpage content with sections and blocks.

Step 1: Create, and publish your Shopify store page at Mailmunch.

Step 2: Navigate to your Shopify Admin Dashboard, and click on the Online Store tab.

Step 3: In Themes, click on the Customize button beside the theme to open the theme editor.

Step 4: Each template has its own settings. To open a template, click on the dropdown menu (set as Home page by default) present on the top.

Use the Search online store field to quickly search for a particular template.

Step 5: Select your template for the theme editor.

Step 6: Use the left sidebar is your control center to change the positions of the sections by using the drag and drop feature. You can find the list of new elements in this editor settings panel.

Save your theme to view the latest changes in the preview or live storefront. Click on the Save button present in the top right corner of your screen to apply your customizations to the theme.

Step 7: Click on the Add section tab. You can add sections to all pages, not just the home page, unlocking a range of new opportunities to personalize every aspect of your store.

Step 8: Click on the Add block tab present in the left sidebar to add theme blocks.

Step 9: Click on the desktop icon in the top-right corner. You can change the device view to get a sense of how your store appears in mobile, desktop, and full-screen desktop.

Use the two buttons with circular arrows representing undo (left) and redo (right) to correct any adjustments made in the editor.

Step 10: Publish your theme without leaving the theme editor by selecting Publish. This will only appear for Draft themes.

Note: Currently, the Shopify Online Store 2.0 is only available with the Dawn theme. It uses O.S 2.0 features, including JSON templates, which support app blocks and sections on all pages.
