What is a CNAME record?

CNAME record is an element present within the Domain Name System (DNS), which is also considered the canonical domain. If you have ever visited a site with www.companysitename.com, the www prefix is usually a CNAME record pointing directly at the companysitename.com domain.

Why is it important to set up the CNAME records?

CNAME records typically map one domain to another domain, creating an alias for the second domain. They help with the white-labeling of Landing Pages in Mailmunch. Publishing your landing page on your own custom domain is one of the best practices to maintain brand unity across your campaigns.

How to add the subdomain of your website to Mailmunch?

You must add the CNAME records for your domain via your hosting provider. For more information on how to connect the CNAME records, you can access the support documentation for the most common registrars below:

Step 6: Once it has been added, you can now see it in your Web Domains section with CNAME Verified.

Step 7: Create your landing page. In the Information step, expand the Tell us more about this page menu, and type the URL in the Page Path textbox, or select the domain with the verified CNAME from the drop-down menu.

Step 8: Navigate to the Publish step, and click on the PUBLISH TO SHOPIFY button. Make sure that the toggle is switched to blue. Copy the short URL as displayed in the attachment below. Click on the FINISH button to activate your landing page.

That's it! You're done.
