Follow the few easy steps mentioned below to setup DKIM records for improving email deliverability for your Shopify store.

Step 1: Click on the Apps link in the left navigation bar in your Shopify store, and then click on the MailMunch - Email Popup app to login to your MailMunch account.

Step 2: In your Mailmunch dashboard, click on the Site Settings tab present on bottom left of your screen.

Step 3: Click on the Domains & Emails section.

Step 4: Your domain name is visible in the Email Domains section. If you don't see it, click on the ADD EMAIL DOMAINS button.

Step 5: In the following dialog box, enter your domain name without "www". For example, if your domain is http://www.example.com, enter "example.com". You can also use subdomains like "email.example.com". Once you've entered your domain name, click on the SAVE button.

Step 6: Once you've saved the domain, click on the Settings - Fix it icon against it. Keep the dialog box open, you will need to copy the Value from it at a later step.

Step 7: From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Domains.

If you have a Shopify-managed domain, then you can access, and edit your DNS settings from the Domains page in your Shopify admin. If your store uses a myshopify.com URL, then you need to add a custom domain before you can access your DNS settings.

  • In the Shopify-managed domains section, click the name of the domain that you want to manage, or click on the Manage link.

  • Click DNS Settings.

  • To add a new record, click Add custom record.

  • Select the TXT record from the dropdown menu.

  • Copy the values from the earlier dialog box, and paste them as follows:

    - Name: Copy the BOLD part in the Key area of the dialog box. e.g. you'll see scphxxxxx._doaminkey.mydomain.com in the key area, however, you need to copy only the bold part, i.e. "scphxxxxx._domainkey"

    - TXT Value: Copy the Value field in the dialog box and paste it in the TXT Value field as shown in the dialog below.

  • Once the values have been entered, click on the Confirm button.

Step 8: Once the domain has been added, wait for a few minutes and then click on the VERIFY RECORDS button in the MailMunch dialog box as shown below. MailMunch will then verify the DNS entry and will let you know right away if it has been verified. If you see an error in the dialog box, wait for few more minutes and then click on the VERIFY RECORDS button again.

Step 9: After the domain has been verified, you'll receive a message that your domain is awaiting compliance approval. This usually happens automatically within 10-15 minutes. You can check back on your domain after 10-15 minutes to make sure everything looks good.

In case you see an error that says that the domain is already in use, please reach out to [email protected]
