How to Resend a Broadcast Email to Non-Openers

Written by Zain Abdul

Resending a broadcast email to subscribers who didn’t open your initial email is a powerful way to increase engagement and ensure your message reaches as many people as possible. With MailMunch, you can schedule a resend to only the non-openers in two ways.

Method 1: Schedule Resend While Editing the Broadcast

Step 1: Open your broadcast campaign and proceed to the Schedule step. After choosing Send Now or Send Later, you will see the option to Enable Resend to Non-Openers.

Step 2: Enter the number of hours to wait before the resend is triggered (minimum 8 hours required).

Step 3: Optionally, update the Subject line and Preheader Text for the resend email.

Method 2: Schedule Resend from the Campaigns Page

Step 1: From the Campaigns tab, find the Broadcast campaign you want to resend. Click on the 3 vertical dots next to the campaign. From the dropdown menu that appears, select Schedule Resend.

Step 2: In the pop-up, enter the number of hours to wait before sending the resend email. You must set a time at least 8 hours after the original broadcast.

Step 3: You also have the option to change the Subject line and Preheader Text for the resend email.

Step 4: Click Schedule Resend to confirm. Once scheduled, you’ll see a countdown beneath the original broadcast indicating how long until the resend email is sent to your non-openers.

Tips for Best Results

Avoid sending too soon; waiting 12–24 hours after the initial send can significantly improve engagement.

This feature allows you to increase your campaign reach without manually creating segments or duplicating campaigns, helping you maximize engagement with minimal effort.
